Salvation
Salvation
Jesus Christ, The Savior: Jesus Christ is the only hope of humanity. Jesus loved us and died to save us from the dreadful penalty of our sin and rebellion. The salvation He brings begins with making a decision to put our faith in Him. That decision opens a lifetime of being healed, restored, delivered from oppression, and set free to stand in spiritual, emotional, and physical wholeness.
The ABC's of Salvation
A- Acknowledge that I am a sinner
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." Romans 3:10-12
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
B- Believe in Christ
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6
C- Confess Christ as Savior and Lord
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. I John 4:15
